The trials, since someone will ask. Adapalene: Cunliffe 1998, five randomized trials. Sunscreen: Hughes 2013, Annals of Internal Medicine, and the two I named are Bioré UV Aqua Rich for face and Coppertone Water Babies for body, both from Consumer Reports’ 2026 test. Petrolatum: Sethi 2016. Tranexamic acid: a 2018 trial of 100 patients and a 2025 trial of 99, both against hydroquinone. Benzoyl peroxide is first line in the AAD guidelines.

I constantly get white heads at one part of my face the left cheek bone area I can’t use 2% salicylic acid it burns my face badly. What can I use? Because it keeps coming back in that same spot and I keep popping it with blackhead/pimple removing tools. And it returns like days after. I cleanse with la Roche posay wash for oily skin and I use a light weight unscented moisturizer I’m tired of those whiteheads I’m getting scarring from trying to get rid of them manually 😭🙁
