@healing.through.chaos_: Sometimes life gets so heavy that you forget what it feels like to be happy. That was me this week. I didn’t even feel like posting. Then I went back through my photos and videos from August 29th and saw myself smiling, laughing, and genuinely having a great time at U.S. Open Fan Week (@US Open). And honestly, I needed to see that. That’s part of why I created Wellness Wherever. I want to capture these moments for other people, but for myself too. When life gets heavy, I can look back and remember that I’ve experienced joy before, and I can experience it again. Fan Week gave me so many moments to remember. Seeing thee @Venus Williams practice up close was and honestly surreal. And later that afternoon, my friend Shanice (@NeicyTheTraveler ) joined me and added even more to an already great day. She treated me to food and two Honey Deuces. The Honey Deuce is the official drink of the U.S. Open, but I couldn’t afford one, so I had already accepted that I would go without. I was okay with that because it didn’t take away from the great time I was already having. So when Shanice insisted on treating me, it meant so much. She even convinced me to stay for the Block Party, and I’m so glad she did because I had a TIME with @Natasha Diggs and @D.Nice Looking back at these videos reminded me why I posted this. If you’re struggling to find your joy right now, go back and look for the moments when you had it. Look at the pictures. Watch the videos. Remember how you felt. You’ve experienced joy before, and you can experience it again.
