@ocdbrian: There's a version of this you can post and a version you can't. The one you can post is the color coded wardrobe. The one you can't is the forty minutes before you leave the house. The rereading. The retracing. The going back up the stairs because you can't picture the moment you turned it off, and a memory you can't picture doesn't count, and now you have to make a new memory, and now you have to be really present for this one. It's not filmable because there's nothing to see. From outside it's a person standing in a doorway. From inside it's the fifth attempt at a task that has no completion condition, because the fear moved the finish line again while you were walking toward it. And it doesn't end when you finally leave. You take it with you. You spend the drive auditing the memory of the check. You get to work and it's still running quietly underneath the day. I know that version well enough to have built an app for it. It's called Choiceful. I built it for people like you and me.
