And after everything, the production, the lights, the sound, the nostalgia, tens of thousands of voices singing together, Ye closed it with Runaway. There probably wasn’t a more fitting way to end it. Because for so many artists, entrepreneurs, designers, musicians and dreamers, his music became part of the soundtrack to creating something of their own. And whatever you think of the man, it’s hard to deny the creative impact. A kid from Chicago dreamed beyond Chicago, took those ideas around the world, and came back home to remind another generation that ideas born here can go anywhere. 🌎❤️ For two nights, Chicago wasn’t just where the concert happened. Chicago was part of the story. And somewhere in that crowd was probably another kid, another artist, another entrepreneur, another person with an idea nobody understands yet, watching all of this and thinking: Why not me?
