If you’re looking for great layed back not crowded destination , go to Jekyll. It’s an hour from Savannah or Jacksonville and St Simons island is close by. Drift wood beach is rank one of top beaches. Lots of history and great restaurants are close by. Don’t leave out a day trip to Darien, Georgia’s 2nd oldest city,right up from Brunswick. Oh and I charter trips in Darien if you want to see the coast from a boat.
