But I genuinely don’t understand what happened? Like how do you go from being an academic weapon to a home wrecker, jobless and ambition less. I genuinely need someone to explain cuz like Paris was also an overachiever, extremely ambitious and with goals and she accomplished them and became a successful doctor while Rory went downhill in every aspect of life

It's the gifted kid pipeline, happened to me too. I was an over achiever in high school, got honors, had a supportive family and close community. Went to college, failed my first anatomy exam, spiraled, and dropped out for 10 years. Went back a couple years ago and just recently got accepted in to nursing. Some people just do this differently and the burn out does contribute to it.

aside from the homewrecking, I do relate and understand her character since her college downfall was similar to what happened with me recently and I grew to understand her character more. plus, it kinda showed that even if going the route of her grandparents unlike Loralai, she still had a similar ending as Loralai which I found interesting

It makes me so sad how her story ended because like in the first couple seasons, she’s smart. She is pretty and I use those seasons while most of the first season I study motivation and then as a seasons go on she’s just more focused on guys she doesn’t care about what happens. She doesn’t go anywhere with her life like at all.

I understand the not knowing what you truly want to do during ages 17-22. but what's not ok was them making Rory seem stupider then she actually was just to create drama between Lorelai, her grandparents, and her partners. Rory was a extremely intelligent powerhouse who 1000% could've made a difference in the world, but the writers had no idea what to do with her once she made it to college so they made her into a old Disney drama high schooler who can't do anything on her own
