My kiddo got really into MLP - l hate MLP but I started watching it with her and I have now had in depth conversations about the politics of Equestria. I have a favorite of the main and side characters, a mortal enemy, and even when I wasn’t making jack shit I bought her Rainbow Dash hoodies bc she was so obsessed. I also hate Disney, but if she had been into it I would’ve made it a part of me too.

my mom complains that i don’t spend time with her but last time i asked her to even watch a movie with me she said “is gonna be another weird one?” because apparently everything i like is weird (she was specifically referring to the movie we watched together the time before, which was my favorite movie, and i thought she enjoyed it too)
