My advice: get a law degree even if you don’t want to work in law. It can help open the doors to higher paying humanities jobs that aren’t within the legal realm and make you a competitive applicant.

If you want to go into GLAM (galleries, libraries, archives, museums) and make a decent salary, you need to pursue the administrative side of it and find a position in a higher paying area. I’m a librarian. Starting salary for my full time position in a low income city was $45k. A year and a half later, I got a department head job at a library in Fairfield County and my starting salary was $80k. The library directors in my county are all making six figures.

fine arts insurance!! I'm majoring in art history with minors in econ and chem! at the end of the day, it is mostly spreadsheets and crap, but I get to surround myself with enough art to scratch that itch. and bc the community is so small, u meet a lot of passionate ppl in the field!!

Not crazy high paying but a lot of people who study social work go into a wide varieties of careers. I’ve worked in politics, event planning, and now high education program management and make a good amount for my age. Also many go into hr work and make good money

decently high paying and quite cushy (at least I some places): associate prof. teaching foreign langs and lits. you have to stick to it during postdoc however and it's brutal.

As long as you’re willing to get a master’s degree, you’re set. For super high earning a law degree is gonna be the best bet, but you can make a very comfortable living working in a lot of academia- I’m planning on becoming a librarian, which is enough for me to someday buy a house and not live paycheck to paycheck, which is really all I want. Or you can always get a desk job, which in this day and age is not a bad plan.

i work in corporate communications and there’s a lot of money to be made. if you climb to director-level roles, you’re making about $220k, VPs are $300+. for my job, i started entry level at $80k. i also don’t think AI is replacing any of these jobs anytime soon either, it’s not just writing but a lot of project management, consensus building, etc. it’s fun and you also know the alll the corporate tea before everyone else lol
