despite all the (obviously) bad things about this, it’s heartwarming to see baseball fans and teams come together against this form of blatant racism so quickly and so easily. it didn’t used to be the case, and while racist umps like this may still be the status quo, it appears the players and fans are (at least in the majority) no longer standing for it. that’s a win on the field and off
