@transitchaser: First proper go at capturing a plane transit in H-alpha ☀️ I’ve photographed plane transits before, but this was my first time doing it with a dedicated solar setup.
Using the Lunt 50 H-alpha scope paired with the Apollo camera from Player One Astronomy. I’m still getting used to solar imaging, especially the capture settings, focus, stability and processing, but overall the whole workflow was surprisingly smooth. Transit Chaser gave me the heads-up that a plane was coming across the Sun, The setup was running on a Sky-Watcher Star Adventurer 2i, captured in FireCapture, stacked and processed in Siril, then finished in Photoshop.
