i went once and walked as much as I could, and when I couldn’t, I took Ubers because the subway is a bit difficult to understand and can be more dangerous (for me personally and on my first time). Ubers can get so expensive though, so if you’re comfortable taking the subway and do your research beforehand, then feel free (just not when it gets dark!) No matter what transportation you’re taking or where you are, being aware of your surroundings is so important because you really never know who/what you’re gonna see 😭 as for recs, tiktok will alwayssss come through for those

Go to Leon’s bagels!!! Their bagels are amazing!! Yes you can walk with earbuds! Everyone walks with them! It feels way safer than La for sure! Only if you’re in SoHo, little Italy, manhattan 🫶🏽

Liberty bagels is good ,I stayed in Times Square area was busy but nice . You should totally take a ferry gives you view of Statue of Liberty and pretty sure there is one that takes you to Brooklyn aswell.
