I'll never forget the time that I was on a date and an older couple was seated next to us. my date got up to use the restroom and as soon as he was gone, the wife turned to me and said "How's the date going? He's so cute and you're beautiful." we spent the next few minutes chatting and it was just this really fun moment of girlhood across generations

The best date night my husband and I ever had was in a tiny Italian restaurant seated next to a first date. We didn’t talk once to one another. The best part was when the guy asked the girl “I’m sure you saw on my dating profile but I compete in arm wrestling competitions, so I can’t drink tonight to prep….but do you want to come watch me compete this weekend?”

One time when I was waitressing, I had a couple and the husband was on his phone ignoring his wife like the whole time and when he did speak to her he was so rude. So I made her a drink and brought it to the table and lied and told her it was from one of the guys at the bar and said “he said you were too beautiful, he couldn’t help it”. Made a boring shift so much more interesting.
