This is spot on. I doubled my income awhile back so finally increased my weekly budget. However I do have reoccurring deductions for my brokerage account and 401k every pay check. I still have quiet a bit excess income so if I go over budget less goes into my hysa but my investments are non negotiable.

I pull money for mortgage, heating fuel, vacation fund, biweekly car payment, and investments on pay day. I plan fun money based on what we are doing. Today, we are going to see Cars in the theater. That will be $100. Only other thing I’m doing this pay cycle is coffee with a friend next weekend. Leftover money will be put as extra payments on stuff the day before payday.
