@fazli.rahmat: This building looks abandoned. But Manhattan House is actually still in use today. Located along Chin Swee Road in Singapore is a building that feels like it somehow escaped time. Completed in 1976, Manhattan House is a 16-storey commercial and office building. Walk through its lower floors today and you'll find ageing corridors, old shopfronts and an atmosphere that feels remarkably different from the Singapore outside. But here's the interesting part: Manhattan House isn't abandoned. Commercial units remain downstairs, with office spaces above. The building has simply survived while much of its surroundings continued to change. And it wasn't necessarily meant to stay this way either. Manhattan House was put up for collective sale in 2019 for $300 million, followed by another attempt in 2023 at $280 million. The site carried redevelopment potential for a residential development of up to 30 storeys with commercial space below, subject to the necessary approvals. But the redevelopment never happened.
