These little things make a huge difference to little kids. My daughter broke her arm when she was 6. She was so afraid, but the Nurse helping us put a cast on her stuffy's leg first (which happened to be Clifford the big red dog). It really helped ease her fear.

My daughter went to the er . The nurses gave her donated stuffed animals . When we got home a few days later she squeezed one . Someone donated stuffed dog toys . It still made her happy and made the er visit a funny story instead of a traumatic one .

my uncle is a radiologist and when I was 12 I started getting migraines so had to get an MRI. he sent me an X-ray of a Mr potato head and said this was all they found on my brain. I still have it. this was from like 1997 lol

You need a heartshaped/bone or other shape piece of cardboard to put under the plushie ❤️it's what they do at our x ray 👍

when my son had surgery, he had a pretty large stuffed caterpillar that he took back with him. when he came out of surgery the sweet nurses/childlife specialists had little booties on each one of the caterpillar's feet. it was so cute.

Awww the peds nurse gave my daughter a tiny matching mask for her favorite stuffy when they went to the OR. We still have it and it's part of her Doc Mcstuffins cart that she plays with 🥰 Thank you for doing what you do ❤️❤️❤️

My son had to have a minor surgery at 14 months. He was firmly attached to a plastic giraffe toy. We went to hand him to the nurse at the surgery wing doors(as far as we could go). He’s already mostly out of it. I went to hand him to her and asked him to let me keep his giraffe safe. She said “no Gerry can come” and walked off with them both. For some reason that stupid giraffe going with him to surgery was what made me absolutely lose it.

My doctor did this once when I was a kid and I kept that x ray of my stuffie in my bottom drawer til I was an adult ❤️it meant a lot to me
