A web developer? Cooked. Fable and Astra blow through that.

Your company should look into ensuring developers are using a corporate version of Claude, models aren’t trained on your data. Secondly PII/Senstivie data filters can be enabled if route prompts through something like AWS BedRock

We're all just technical managers now. Unless you're working on super niche code that Ai hasn't seen before or some brand new system. Even those people are kidding themselves because you'll always be battling AI going forward..... you know the thing that supposedly will be the last invention ever.

You can build.. anything. Build a business, and develop for local businesses. Don’t rely on corporate salary, you will be replaced. Ai isn’t dangerous, you just need to inform yourself before executing decisions.

What do you think about pivoting from engineer to product or systems analyst?

I don’t understand why we let things get to this exact point where technologies are created, and we cannot go back in time to then consider the implications that it can have. And then we see professionals veterans in those that have years of experience, give up what they worked for, and what others are working for just so that way they can “adapt” and automate their life away.

You should take a very close look at OutSystems. It’s the best option now for building apps - mobile and web. You can use Codex and Claude with OutSystems.

I had a very similar entrance into engineering. Now worked in a company that is very AI forward. 2 recommendations: 1. Get really comfortable reading/reviewing code. About 95% of our time is now spent reviewing the code ai has written rather than writing it ourselves. 2. Focus as much as you can on system design and architecture. If you can understand how projects should be built optimally from a high level, you’ll be able to leverage AI to accomplish the nitty gritty

Could you please elaborate a little more on what happened, using Claude? 🤔 — I’ve been tweaking a few things for a web project I’m working on and I haven’t been worrying much about it. If you could talk a little bit more about it it would be great! — Best of luck! ♡
