Those cops watched her get in. Her car, started up and drive away before they ever started going to their own car.

This is definitely one of my more controversial predictions for the 2026 midterms. I currently have Democrat Eileen Laubacher narrowly defeating incumbent Republican Lauren Boebert by just 0.34%, which would be a major upset in a district that most political analysts consider safely Republican. One of the biggest factors behind my prediction is Colorado's gubernatorial race. Republican nominee Victor Marx has faced significant controversy, and I believe his candidacy could negatively affect Republican performance in other races across the state, including Colorado's 3rd, 5th, and 8th congressional districts. As I expect Democrat Phil Weiser to win the governor's race by a substantial margin, I think the political environment could become increasingly difficult for Republicans further down the ballot. Boebert also has a history of unexpectedly close elections. In 2022, she narrowly won reelection in Colorado's 3rd District by approximately 0.2 percentage points, despite the race being widely expected to favor Republicans. Although she now represents a considerably more Republican district, I think another unexpected result is possible, especially with Laubacher's military background and potential appeal to moderate voters. I recognize that this prediction goes against most expectations, and Colorado's 4th District remains a difficult seat for Democrats to flip. However, I think the combination of Boebert's electoral history, Laubacher's candidacy, and the potential impact of Colorado's gubernatorial race could create the conditions for an extremely narrow Democratic upset. #colorado #midtermelections #politics #trump #laurenboebert
