Can't blame The White Sox for wanting to move cause Bridgeport is dangerous and if they can move to a safer area it would be better for fans especially for night games.

Destroying a real neighborhood to create a fake manufactured private equity entertainment district is so disgusting.

I’m a Northside Sox fan. I live about a one mile walk from Wrigley. In that mile you can shop, eat, drink at all kinds of places, have access to several forms of transportation on the way there. Let’s not pretend they stopped the development of businesses in Bridgeport around the park. As a former Bridgeport resident I can say this. The nearest bar Chi Sox is now owned by the White Sox, closes TWENTY MINUTES after the game ends. Nearest bars are about a TEN minute walk away. Let’s not forget they pushed Latino residents and businesses on or west of Halstead. Fans deserve reciprocal investment from the team we love. White Sox fans of ALL races and walks of life deserve a better experience!

One big thing is there’s nothing functionally or practically wrong with the current stadium. It looks nice, it’s well maintained, it’s accessible. I’m not against a new park. But the tax payers shouldn’t foot the bill when the current stadium is more than acceptable

lmao Bridgeport people acting like they didn't have railyards there before. Daley cleared all those new homes for his friends and family. Move the stadium

I can understand why this is getting mixed reactions. A new riverfront stadium could bring a fresh experience and more development to the South Loop, but leaving Rate Field would also mean saying goodbye to a place with decades of memories. What do you think—would a new stadium be a smart move for the White Sox, or should they stay where they are ?

I feel like it will be too crowded in the 78 especially when the fire plays

The only way I will accept this is if the White Sox move, we give that space that they cleared out to the bears and let them revamp the old White Sox stadium in the area around it for themselves, and also the city of Chicago needs to pay their half of the bill 10+ years ago when the Bears revamp soldier field yes, the Bears paid they half of the bill, but the city of Chicago did not pay their half of the bill. That’s why the bears do not want to build a stadium in the city of Chicago.

The fans will still go to a new ball park area no matter what! You will get even more people because it will be in between MANY hot spots and high foot traffic area and a much more safer area where people will go out at night!!

Love it. That area needs this Not a Railyard. This with the 78 will make that area a nice Sports/Entertainment District for Chicago. Need to do the ChiLine and maybe an Underground Peoplemover from Museum Campus to United Center. Call it the Sports Connector.

What else is there to do in Bridgeport aside from going to the Sox game? If the answer is nothing, that's why they're moving. That's why attendance is so low, no one wants to go there for a game.

Looks really cool, being right next to the river and the new fire stadium would make an awesome district for food and other stuff
