There’s actually an article recently written by the BBC unpacking Meta’s unethical research practices and potentially violating their users’ privacy by using private footage (people having intercourse, nudity, people going to the bathroom) for AI training purposes. It’s called “Meta in row after workers who say they saw smart glasses users having sex lose jobs”. They were also under fire for deliberately outsourcing cheap labor to Kenya for content moderation and AI training, and over 1000 workers were fired because they spoke out over concerns about privacy violations.
