Tire Pressure Test 🐺 @dieterpey Here is a good visual representation of how important tire pressure is when off-roading. The lower the tire pressure, the easier the rubber can wrap around objects to help with grip. On tarmac driving, I keep my tires around 2.0bar - 2.5bar, depending on the vehicle weight and distance. Tire pressure increases with the heat of friction and usually increased by 0.3bar as they heat up from standing cold to being driven warm, so that also need to be taken into account. On gravel roads I would deflate to between 1.5bar and 1.8bar for added comfort and grip on the loose bumpy gravel roads. For off-roading I usually deflate to 0.8bar - 1.2bar and for sand driving I'll go between 0.6bar - 0.8bar. Each tire is different and these numbers are more related to mud terrain tires. The bigger the tire and the more flat it is, the more it'll buldge and flex. The low sand pressures can also lead to de-beading. That's when the tire get's pulled off the rim, so with super low tire pressures for sand driving, you need to be careful of that happening. Unless you have beadlocks which hold the tire onto the rim, de-beading can happen on low tire pressures if you turn and accelerate hard at the same time. Once again, each tire is different.
