Over the past several weeks, I've shared pieces of my father's journey and the tremendous outpouring of love our family has received. This will be my final tribute to him here. My father was one of the most accomplished people I've ever known, yet he was also one of the most humble. He never sought recognition for his work, and because of that, many people who knew his face never knew the full extent of his impact. After serving in the @_usaf_ and building a successful corporate career, he answered God's call to ministry. He became one of the foundational leaders who helped build the administrative infrastructure of @wordoffaithcc during a period of extraordinary growth. While others stood behind the pulpit, my father faithfully ensured everything behind the scenes was done with excellence, helping support a ministry that reached communities across the United States and around the world. The attached clip contains remarks from my cousin, @keithbutlerministries, who led the ministry where my father served for decades. Hearing him describe my dad's contribution reminded me of something I have always known: Leadership is not always the person holding the microphone. Sometimes it is the person who quietly builds the foundation that allows others to fulfill their calling. My father embodied servant leadership, integrity, humility, and excellence. Those are qualities I hope to carry with me in both my personal life and my professional career. To everyone who has prayed for our family, attended the services, sent messages, shared memories, or simply thought of us...thank you. Your kindness has meant more than you know. Rest well, Dad. Your work mattered. Your life mattered. And your legacy will continue through everyone you poured into.
