Leaky gut, explained like you're five. Picture your intestines as a pipe. Your liver makes bile to carry out the toxic, fat-soluble stuff — bile is one of the most toxic things in your body (it's what burns when you throw up or have diarrhea). Normally it travels down the pipe and leaves through a bowel movement. But if that pipe has holes in it, some of that bile leaks out every time — into your bloodstream and lymph. It hits your skin, and it hits the rest of you. Headaches, skin that won't clear, and more can trace back to bile escaping where it shouldn't. Two moves fix this, and they're the same move: → Bind your bile — with soluble fiber or a binder, so less of it is free-flowing and leaking through those holes. → Rebuild the pipe — the gut wall is made of amino acids, so enough protein is what lets it repair itself. And if you're constipated, it's usually not too little fiber — it's not enough bile being produced to trigger a bowel movement in the first place. Save this, then follow — I go deep on all of it. Want all my recommendations and research? It's inside Opus, my health framework and community, at TaylorLovesHealth.org (also the link in my profile). #guthealth #leakygut #digestion #bloating #detox
