I wonder why they used a sample from Saint-Saëns (French composer) in Snezhnaya LOL If I were to guess, it's probably due to the Carnival of Animals connection between "The Swan" and Tchaikovsky's "Swan Lake". A lot of people tend to mistake Saint-Saëns's The Swan as a Swan Lake piece, but they're two different songs from two different composers! However, "The Swan" is also used as a song in ballet, most known for its use in "The Dying Swan Variation" which is also a ballet variation that inspired a few of Odette's movements in-game. There are so many more samples, references, and inspirations in the Snezhnaya OST. Truly, this region is a music lover's dream come true! What's your favorite soundtrack? Mine is probably the overworld one that samples "Vesti la giubba"! I haven't watched Pagliacci the opera before people started mentioning it actually, but I will soon! I keep stopping everywhere in Snezhnaya because I keep recognizing things. my jaw fell to the floor when I heard the immortal construct's theme and realized the boss was a firebird of sorts while the intro to the musics just reeks Stravinsky.
