@tadtalksmoney: “Kicking the can down the road” is usually meant as criticism. But some of the world’s most important systems have survived precisely because policymakers repeatedly found another road. That doesn’t mean the underlying problems disappeared. It means the system found another way to absorb them. And sometimes that can continue for much longer than people expect. The question isn’t only whether a system has problems. It’s whether it can keep evolving faster than those problems become unmanageable. Let me know what you think in the comments ➡️ Link in bio to schedule a complimentary Zoom consultation. what if the US decouples the stable coin after everyone adopts it and its no longer 1/1 ratio and makes it 0.5/1 and significantly devalues everyones stable coins with a push of a button?

Everything you said, makes sense. But what happens when they do , back the US dollar with gold again. And bring back Brettonwoods. Now you have everything you need to stay dominant. But if everyone starts backing their dollar by hard assets. Now he just create trade demand. Then put XRP the natural bridge asset in the middle. What do you have? The next perfect monetary system.

Yep, this is one way to kick the can, not only for the US, for the whole global economic system.

Nate :
At this point, the USD and its corresponding t-bills are a rort as it stands…..debt on top of debt. But if they were serious about making things right and fair, a tokenised basket of let’s say t-bills/gold/silver/oil/real estate for example, would offer much more confidence and support for the dollar. China with mBridge and the digital yuan is fast becoming a serious competitor for the USD, and they aren’t burning any bridges either. It’ll essentially become more of the same if there isn’t any legitimacy and trust added to the equation……and honestly, I can see a potential dual financial system with no dominant force and neutral bridged assets used so the they can interoperate with each nations chosen currency.😎👍
