My dad stopped by work last Thursday with two protein shakes because he knows I’ve been intentional about getting my protein since my amputation. But he also knows I like my drinks over ice, so he brought a big 32-ounce cup of ice AND two smaller cups… just in case I needed to split the ice between the shakes. And a straw, of course, because he knows I always drink out of one. 🥹 It’s that kind of “I thought of everything because I know you” love that keeps the bar high in my dating life. So really, gentlemen, take it up with my dad. 😂🤷🏼‍♀️ From running to Meijer in the middle of the night to buy me a CD Walkman when I was in high school, to showing up at my work at 79 years old with protein shakes, an entire ice distribution plan, and the all-important straw… you’ve always gone out of your way to love me well.
