Here is it 😴 ⬇️ I struggled with insomnia for months. I'd lie in bed wide awake. My body was heavy and exhausted, but I just couldn’t fall asleep. I'd watch the clock roll past 1am, then 2am, then 3am. Sometimes falling asleep and waking up 3hrs later, wide awake. At some point I even started to fear bedtime, because falling asleep felt like a battle every single time. 💊So I tried everything to fix it… Melatonin, blue light glasses, hypnosis, binaural beats, screens off 2 hours before bed, meditation, no sugar and even hyperbaric chamber sessions… I stayed strict with all of it but my sleep was not improving. Here's the thing I finally understood. ⇒ Our sleep is a reflection of what is actually going on underneath the surface during the DAY! You don’t fix your sleep by focusing on the night but by retraining your nervous system during the day. If you spend your days stressed and anxious, running the same subconscious patterns of thinking, feeling and behaving from morning to evening, your nervous system stays switched on the whole time. Then you ask it to go calm at 10pm. As if you could just turn the switch off… So I stopped chasing better nights. I started retraining my nervous system during the day. I worked on the root cause, the stress and the anxiety and the old neural pathways firing on repeat. And my sleep got so much better as a byproduct! Now? I fall asleep in a few minutes. I sleep deep for 8hrs, every single night. I wake up feeling like myself again. If you want to know the exact protocol I used to retrain my nervous system, click the link in my bio (Bundle) 🔗 If your nights feel like mine did, follow @patricedeckert for simple ways to calm your system and retrain your brain. #insomnia #sleep #nervoussystem #sleepissue #sleepbetter
