@filips_renovations: Week 6 of the £50k BTL renovation. Tenant of 6 years decided to leave without giving any notice and without even letting us know. We only discovered she left when the rent wasn’t paid and her phone went straight to voicemail. We’ve had properties back in far worse conditions, but it wasn’t taken care of very well so we decided to do a full renovation regardless. We decided to hand it over to a company to manage the refurb from start to finish. It’s a big step for us and I guess it will be a test to see if we can find a company that can handle all the future renovations too. From the start of the property investing journey 10 years ago, we’ve always been present (despite living 3 hours away) and always been hands on. But I just don’t feel like I have the time or energy right now. I want to get back to finish my own house renovation which has now dragged on for 5 years. The renovation is definitely moving forward, but not at the speed we had hoped #propertyinvesting #renovations
