This makes so much sense and we see it across both gender and race within the borders of these western nations. Men perceived the loss of their “natural” status and we saw the rise of the manosphere. Whiteness saw the lost of its “natural” status and we see the rise of fascism. It reminds me of status threat theory in sociology. When a dominant group sees its status threatened within a society, it tries to regress back to the last known point where its identity and its position within that society was seen as law. The problem with that, is that their status is not natural, and it is not inherent and it requires violence to assert. Which, as you said, is where the conflict comes from. This is such a good video.

I completely agree with you and also think this is where the whole “anti-empathy” movement is coming from. They want to restore the violence but first they have to justify it morally. If caring about other people is now a bad thing it is easier to do that. It’s terrifying.
