However if there are any amendments doesn’t it then need to go back to house to be voted on again and they have just cancelled 2 weeks of voting time before midterms so possibly not enough time to get act signed. I do wonder if this is the plan so that CFTC and SEC get to make regulations which then are easier to get out of rather than an enacted law? Just a thought

Brad Garlinghouse said The clarity act will be in effect by April 2027. he understands that even if it gets voted in by the Senate, the house would still need to reconcile it along with the genius act and once they're able to do that it could be signed into law by the president. but the house decided to go to early recess. which means they might talk about it in November or December but I wouldn't count on it. let's just all remain reasonable about how slow the US government actually works okay
