First person I've seen mention Kings of Paradise. One of my all time favorite series. Ruka is the GOAT. Btw you should start Malazan. Go in fairly blind with complete trust in Erikson. Use r/malazan and TOR Malazan re-read chapter summaries occasionally. It's a peak series that you'll think about forever.

I don’t get the Brandon Sanderson hype.. his world building has no rhyme or reason tbh. Not that everything needs to make sense. But as fantasy at least somewhat fantastically believable.

No Malazan no Tolkien Legendarium no dune but ur own book which has a rough start and feels like shadowslave its well written though characters feel real.

I've been looking into the Lord of mysteries recently. I never heard a single bad review about it. But i don't understand where I can read it. They say that on Amazon it's not the best translation, and there is a more accurate one online. What do you recommend?

cool list! I'm super picky and dnf so much, but this list seems cool. Will give vagrant another go, bounced off Bakker tbh because the monk stuff seemed too cheesy and overall name droppy with ideas which philosophical ideas. ASoIF cool world and history, but bored reading book 1. Like the lore and tv show though

eh all the series you mentioned are with a hopeless or dark theme to them. divine dungeon and black ocean series have incredible world building that doesnt revolve around evil creeping in at all times.

I know 2 of them well. The other 5 I'd imagine are promotional. I've seen a similar type of advertising for other book genres and the ones you've never heard of tend to be garbage.
