Gypsy lies so much & her lies about her feeding tube are beyond. She claims changing a button is surgery - it’s not. She says it’s painful and they remove the button without pain meds - it’s not surgery & there is no pain. Based upon Gypsy only changing her button 2 times a year, they clearly were not using the button as a primary source for nutrition. Buttons need to be changed every 2 months. The button is accessed 3-4 times a day - so keeping a button in for 6 months is gross and unsanitary… or she wasn’t using it. Some people that have had Nissen Fundiplication surgery keep a g-tube button only for venting excess air. Gypsy had this surgery & if you notice she can’t really burp. She also gags and takes super small sips to this day. Many people can’t even vomit after the surgery. The button would help relief her gas and pressure. I’m guessing Dee Dee just had her keep it for the purpose of venting. Venting is hooking up an extension with a 60 ml syringe - then letting the air out. Burps that are trapped in the stomach come out through the tube and syringe and sound pretty similar - just a bit more bubbly. Anyway, feeding tubes aren’t a huge deal.
