The people, the routines, the dreams I once held so tightly… some of them I had to learn to let go. There are days when I laugh like nothing ever happened. And there are days when the silence feels so loud. That’s the quiet duality of healing. People often see the version of me that keeps going. The one who shows up, smiles, works, and says, “I’m okay.” What they don’t see are the moments when I’m alone when I sit with the weight of everything, trying to quiet the noise in my heart. And in those moments, I find myself doing the only thing I know how to do. I pray. I surrender every fear, every unanswered question, every piece of pain I still carry, placing them into God’s hands because mine have grown tired. I’m learning that healing doesn’t always look like becoming stronger overnight. Sometimes, it looks like choosing to believe that tomorrow will be a little lighter. Sometimes, it looks like whispering, “Lord, help me,” and trusting that it’s enough. So if you ever find yourself beginning again, know that you’re not behind. Some of the most beautiful stories begin after everything you thought would last… didn’t. And maybe this isn’t the end of my story.
