Alex = A Ben = B Chris = C . Lets translate the statements given into a shorter term. . A blames B B blames C C says B is lying. . 1.) A if A is true then B is the one who did it which implies that B is lying about Chris but the problem with this is that only one statement is true so if we already have a true statement which is A then Chris's statement is false which translate to Ben is not lying or Ben is telling the truth which completely dissolves the Logic therefore A is not the Answer ❌ . . . 2.) B If B is true then A and C's statement is false. A's complete opposite statement "Ben did not do it" and C's complete opposite statement "B is telling the truth" which justifies B even more. This makes complete Logic because there is no contradiction between the statements. Therefore B says Chris did it and Chris is the Prime Suspect so B is telling the truth. Considering the fact that Alex didnt get blamed makes it suspicious because he wasnt at the receiving end of the blame compared to the other two which makes me to believe that it is both Alex and Chris that are the prime suspects. If the rules allow it then it is both of them and if it is just Chris, it is still a win win, its just that im cautious.✅❌ . . . 3.) C If C then both A and B's statement must be false. A's complete opposite statement "Ben did not do it" B's complete opposite statement "C did not do it." C's statement, assuming to be true says that Ben is lying then it justifies that Ben's statement is false in which he stated that Chris did it when the complete opposite of that because we have to translate it from a false statement into a true statement which is that Chris did not do it. No other suspects were blamed and thats because both A and B's statement are false which comes to the conclusion that A is the main culprit and prime suspect because the other 2 are cleared yet he wasnt involved in the blaming of the receiving end. Therefore if the detective allows indirect blame or suspicion then it is A. ✅❌
