My mom once told me that some people put certain things on their farms so that if you go there to steal, you’ll somehow start working on the farm until the owner comes and meets you. The owner will then decide whether to let you go or not. Though, I don’t know if that’s actually the case here, but somehow, this situation looks exactly like what she described. 😭
