look at it as an ancient legal reform rather than a literal manual for parenting: In the ancient world where this was written, fathers had absolute power and could legally kill their children in secret for any reason. Deuteronomy 21:18 actually stepped in to restrict that violence by taking the power out of the parents' hands and forcing them to go before an public, independent court of city elders. Because it required both the father and the mother to fully agree before any case could even be heard, it created a massive legal hurdle that protected youth from hot-tempered or abusive parents—so much so that ancient historical records show this execution policy was virtually never carried out.

They didn't like the NO Pork NO Alcohol so invented the New Testament, forgot to take that one out who on Earth was Matthew walking around that region. 40 Thousand plus denominations says it all. What gets me is how they can ignore anyting they dont like. It all falls apart....
