@aliabdaal: We've got a few hundred students in Lifestyle Business Academy now, all professionals starting their first online business. As you'd imagine, the outcomes are all over the place. Some of them are absolutely crushing it. Others have been with us for months and have barely got started. I've been thinking a lot about what actually separates the two. I reckon it comes down to three things. 1️⃣ First, the niche. Almost all of our most successful students picked something they already had skills or a network in. 2️⃣ Second, imperfect action. The ones winning do the thing even when it feels weird, then let the data tell them where to go next. The tighter you cling to control and certainty, the harder this gets. 3️⃣ Third, they follow the process. Our method works, but only if you build for what the market wants instead of what you fancy doing. Here's the difference. You do a hobby for yourself. You run a business for other people. It has to solve a problem that's painful enough that someone pays you to fix it.
