A woman in Hong Kong bought a HK$44 (S$7.11) set meal to go from Wa Jer Restaurant, the South China Morning Post (SCMP) reported. The takeaway order included satay beef rice noodles, a ham omelette, a drink and, apparently, a live baby rat. She then filed a complaint with the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department, which reportedly found unsatisfactory hygiene conditions in parts of the store’s premises. The restaurant operator was later ordered to make immediate improvements, SCMP reported. As for the discovery of the baby rat, a hygiene department spokesperson said that they are investigating
