@itsmrskelly: It’s simply really, I wish I could let go a bit more. Something about overanalysing myself all the time, the things I do, wear, the way I look, sound… it all plays into my growth and insecurity and then I just feel like I can’t get out of my head, and that makes me feel narcissistic. It’s a vicious cycle. The way I’m trying to deal with it, is by treating myself a little less seriously. Trying to laugh more, and not turn everything into something it’s not. I feel it gives me a little more grace to make mistakes, to play, to feel silly. But I feel like, if I don’t take myself seriously - who would? I like getting older, I care a little less about things that don’t matter, and truly there is so much that doesn’t matter that we spend far too much time on.
