East Boston, specifically Maverick where I grew up, has the best view of the Boston skyline. At one time we were cut off from Boston because of its location, but now with the ferries & MBTA it’s easily accessible to downtown Boston.

Like maybe hundreds of thousands (maybe millions) Eastie was my home when at first got to the U.S. as kid. East Boston is a magically place and the first home to many many new Americans.

Was born and brought up there lived my whole life there still own a home would give anything to go back to the days it was a real neighborhood now nobody knows anybody you walk down the street and nothing but strangers my dad use to say how did I become a stranger in my own neighborhood after 85 yrs

Maverick is the worst part of east Boston and the first thing you mention 🤣 Piers park is incredible and so is the entire Jeffries point area- we easily have the best views in the entire city. We have an amazing harbor walk I ran every morning for years- it goes all the way past the Hyatt and you can actually walk to the airport from Jeffries point. We’re also a 7 minute car ride to seaport and have water ferries connecting us to every other waterfront area of the city if you hate the t as much as I do
