My husband is 100% sober because he doesn’t like the taste of alcool, I am 95% sober by choice and at first the hardest was not to not drink, it was to justify myself on why I choose to not drink! Drinking has been so normalized that being sober is considered weird

I dont do any of the normal friend things like drinking, eating restaurant food, watching tv and movies, or having kids. I have nothing in common with my old friend group. I do what I love every day, but I havnt found new friends that love doing the same things. It has been good for me, but after about 15 years, it’s starting to feel pretty isolating. I run a regenerative livestock farm for fun, where I produce most of my own food and food for many other families. Seems like I’m one of the only people that doesn’t mind manual labor for fun. If people want to hang out with me, they are going to have to tag along with me doing chores and other farm work.
