I’ve had my tops with Affordable for going on 5 years and I always assumed everyone got immediate and permanent set. I just learned this year, when going back for my bottoms, that they will do a hard reline on the immediate set. Thank you for posting your journey for all the other people just starting. It really helps a lot.

affordable sucks so bad in ohio.. and medicaid only covers one every 8 years eekk so u either get one or another its dumb i been dealing with this over a year smh

Same here…nothing was explained to me. Now I have 4 of my teeth left which are becoming a problem so I called to take care of those and get new bottoms after and was told oh well we can pull them and they are covered with insurance but because it has not been 5 years you have to pay out of pocket for new bottoms! So they want to pull my 4 teeth and expect me to still use a partial bottom….they won’t even help me with the insurance to appeal to try to get it covered. They just want money money money.

what package did you get? I started my journey about a month ago. Still have my immediate obviously lol I do get a permanent pair in six months but I also paid almost $5000 for the package that I went with. I’ve been having a lot of trouble with my immediates though went for my second adjustment and the lady who did my adjustment over adjusted and almost cut off the gums completely, so they made me a new pair and made the teeth way bigger on the second pair than they were on my first pair which was at least anatomically correct on the first pair the second pair makes me look like I’m all teeth. Hoping my journey starts to get better. It’s been so discouraging with the mess ups they’ve been making.

I went to affordable. It’s all about your plan and what you pay out of pocket. And what insurance you have. They told me from the jump that if you have Medicaid you only get one set. I paid just over six grand out of pocket with no insurance and I got immediates and I just got my permanent set after just over six months!
