🚨 Unpopular Opinion: I actually think today’s testimony strengthened the defense on one important issue. The prosecution appears to be arguing that Lindsey Clancy’s injuries were not consistent with someone who truly intended to end her own life. After listening to today’s testimony, I came away with the opposite impression. The jury heard that Lindsey arrived at the hospital with serious injuries, was hypothermic, and required CPR after going into cardiac arrest. To me, those facts are difficult to reconcile with the idea that she was simply trying to make it appear she wanted to die. Before anyone misunderstands me… Believing Lindsey intended to end her own life is NOT the same as believing she isn’t responsible for what happened. My opinion has remained the same throughout this trial: I believe Lindsey should spend the rest of her life in prison for murdering her children. Nothing about today’s testimony changes that. That said, I’m still keeping an open mind when it comes to the evidence about her mental state. I’m especially interested in hearing the testimony surrounding her mental health treatment and, if they’re admitted into evidence, the journals that have been discussed. I want to hear what the experts have to say and see the evidence for myself before forming an opinion on that aspect of the case. That’s one of the reasons I enjoy following trials from start to finish. Evidence is presented piece by piece, and sometimes testimony changes—or reinforces—your perspective along the way. What do you think? Did today’s testimony change your view at all? 🩷 Mortgage by day, true crime nerd by night—one pays the bills… the other feeds my curiosity. #LindseyClancy #TrueCrime #Courtroom #Justice #TrialUpdate
