On D-Day the Nazis were ON THE RUN from the USSR. Look it up. Any map from WW2 on D-Day will show them pushed back, fleeing. Lose the war. Christ on a bike. The war was already won. D-day was about gaining power in Europe, nothing else.

Montgomery, the child without patience that caused the Dutch hunger winter due to attacking the Germans without proper planning. Bless Eisenhower for the decision to postpone the D-day operation, even if it was only one day. If Montgomery had his way we would be speaking Russian in Europe.
