Our sweet Eevee is more than just a pet. She's a beloved member of our family who has filled our lives with so much love, happiness, and unforgettable memories over the past 10 years. Recently, our world was turned upside down when Eevee was diagnosed with chronic degenerative valve disease (CDVD), a progressive heart condition that affects the valves of her heart. Unfortunately, her condition has advanced to congestive heart failure, causing fluid to build up in her lungs and making it difficult for her to breathe. What started as a cough quickly became something much more serious. We had to rush Eevee to the veterinary hospital when she began struggling to breathe. She needed emergency treatment and was placed in an oxygen cage for several hours to help stabilize her condition. It was one of the scariest moments we've experienced as a family. Eevee is now taking multiple heart medications, including Vetmedin, Lasix, and benazepril, to help manage her condition and keep her comfortable. She has also needed additional testing, including chest X-rays and an echocardiogram, to better understand the severity of her heart disease and determine the best treatment moving forward. Although this diagnosis has been heartbreaking, we are not giving up on our girl. Despite everything she's been through, Eevee still has her little personality, enjoys her walks, and continues to show us how strong she is. Unfortunately, emergency veterinary care, medications, follow-up appointments, and ongoing heart monitoring come with significant expenses. We are asking for help to make sure Eevee can continue receiving the medical care she needs. Any donation, no matter how small, would mean so much to our family. If you aren't able to donate, sharing Eevee's story would also help us tremendously.
