@parkkwi: Lookism is a cartoon created by former Ulzzang and writer Park Tae-joon in 2014. It was officially serialized in English and several languages on the Line Webtoon app in 2017. The English translation is four episodes behind the original webtoon. As of 2024, Lookism continues to have more than 500 episodes serialized, and has slowly gained favorable comments from Korean readers and readers around the world due to its controversial stance on social issues in Korean society. The plot is set on the outskirts of Seoul. Lookism deals with Park Hyung-suk (Daniel Park), a boy who is bullied for his appearance. He travels through school, and when he wakes up, he finds himself transformed into a new body. During the course of the story, he witnesses several cases of "Lookism," a form of discrimination based on appearance.
