$180 this month. $170 last month. We are VERY particular with our tstat and will turn on fans before adjusting tstat. We stay really on top of cleaning our ac and changing filters. We keep some things (like microwave) unplugged until we have to use it. We keep blinds closed depending on where the sun is (won’t open back windows until sun has moved over house, open front only in the morning, etc).

the citizens of Memphis need to collectively file a class action lawsuit against MLGW. not only have they overcharged versus the national average but they also treat us like shit because they know we have no choice. they are so afraid of another company coming in. they know we would switch in a heartbeat.

GIRL. We just bought a new house and our old house sat vacant for the entire month. The bill was HIGHER than the prior month, with no one living in it. Then I noticed my electric had been “estimated” since October 2025. They hadn’t read my meter in ALMOST A YEAR! Disputing it now!

Mine went about what you would expect with it being as hot as it’s been. Of course now there’s $1.50 fee that started on September 1 if you pay online. It’s almost like they planned it that way, get everybody paying online and then start charging for it.
