I did that, helped her through child custody court and obtaining a restraining order. She turned around started dating a new guy that’s just as abusive. I said I couldn’t watch her willingly go through that again and that I hated that I loved her more than she loves herself. She still chose to be with him.

no literally. one of my friends was like “if you keep bringing that man around our friend group, you’re going to start seeing less of me. i don’t like being around him.” and that was the end of it. i haven’t seen him since. no man is worth losing my friends

I lost my bsf going back to my abuser.. nearly a year after I broke up with him I reached out to her and we've started repairing what we lost. if I had stayed broken up with him the first time I would have saved us both a lot of heart ache. 🤣
