Instead, my mind goes to absolute turmoil thinking back to how I assumed that confronting, not allowing certain behavior to the best of my ability would make him/me/us better. Instead it was so exhausting it felt life draining and it made everything so much worse. As a result, that “perfect victim” image is tainted. It invalidates just how absolutely broken I am in the aftermath.

So true he did something so terrible when we were away on vacation that when I confronted him with it, he broke up with me and blocked me on everything and we didn’t talk for over a year and then when he reached back out to me, I didn’t say anything about it because I was afraid that he would do that again. I can’t believe I let him get away with it and never spoke to him about it again mainly because he threatened to call the police and blame me for what he did. Scared the hell out of me, but I still wanted to go back with him. How crazy is that?
