In the 90s my dad mailed a teabag to the IL Toll Authority with a note that said something like "just like the Boston tea party, your time is up." They sent a sheriff to question my dad about that.

I grew up in Gurnee. I remember traffic being backed up from the time we got on the highway from Grand Ave. all the way to the Lake-Cook toll plaza. Once you got through that nightmare, then it was bumper to bumper going to either Chicago or O'Hare right from the 94/294 spilt.
