@geriatricmums: One of Brighton’s best sunset spots? 🌅 We honestly had such a fun evening at Coastal. It’s downstairs at the Mercure Brighton Seafront and the lobby is gorgeous, but if the sun’s out, you want the terrace. It’s huge for a Brighton seafront terrace and they even have DJs playing out there on some Fridays and Saturdays. 🎶🍹 The menu is mostly seafood-focused. We shared three small plates: king prawns with chilli, garlic & herb butter, beetroot hummus with flatbreads and lamb meatballs with anchovy salsa & parmesan. Everything was tasty, but the prawns were the standout. 100% recommend. 🦐👌 Then a Sussex cheese board and cheesecake for dessert. Mari announced it was the best cheesecake she’s ever had, which is HIGH praise indeed. 😂 And the service was absolutely top notch. Like really, really lovely. Coastal is pretty much opposite Hove Lawns, so once the sun starts going down you’ve got the most gorgeous view. We ended up watching people dancing at the bandstand and somehow ended up over there dancing to Brazilian rhythms too. 💃 Not sure how that happened. I blame the cocktails 😂 Coastal is definitely not just one for the tourists.
